Fraqtive is an innovative open-source program that will let you generate fractals in a simple way. For those who don't know, fractals are complex, detailed geometric patterns created using mathematical formulas, wherein every part resembles the whole structure in an infinite self-repetitive manner. Some fractals can be found in the natural world: for example, in clouds, plants, snowflakes, etc.

A good feature of this program is that you can move and rotate the fractal in real time, and all details will be automatically updated. Besides, you can generate high-quality fractals easily, thanks to fast algorithms used by the program. It can even take advantage of the maximum performance of modern PCs with multi-core processors.

Moreover, the application will let you change some color settings, for example, choose the background and color gradient, and select, if you want, the fractal to be mirrored or reversed. In addition, you will also be able to choose the image anti-aliasing level, the detail level, and the calculation depth. And if you get an interesting fractal, you can be save its position, or save it as an image in PNG format.

The application can also generate 3D fractals, although it will work a little slower in this mode.
